Holiday Cheer is Here! (Week of Events)
There are several events going on in Crested Butte this coming week. Be sure to get out there and take part in the festivities!
Rock On Ice
The Rock on Ice team returns to Mt. Crested Butte December 18th through the 23rd. Watch as two of the world’s most renowned carvers create an array of ice sculptures in the Courtyard at Mountaineer Square. This event will feature these demonstrations all week long, so make sure to get out there and enjoy!
Holiday Crafts at Coal Breaker Coffee
Another week long event, December 19th through the 23rd, join Coal Breaker Coffee Co. for craft hour from 3:00-4:00 p.m. Write letters to Santa or craft snowflakes, dreidels, ornaments and more! Bring your little ones and relax with a cup of joe at their newest base area coffee house, located in the middle level of the Treasury Center.
Winter Solstice Apres at the Umbrella Bar
Come celebrate the days getting shorter at the on-mountain Winter Solstice Party! On December 21st, take the Red Lady Express Lift at 4 pm and then head over to Umbrella Bar, located at the top of the Painter Boy Lift. Your entry includes one spiked cider and Montanya Oro Rum, charcuterie, appetizers and s’mores fixings by the fire pit. Don’t forget your headlamp too!
Torchlight and Santa’s Sleigh Ride
Watch from the Butte 66 deck as Santa comes down the mountain in a sleigh pulled by a snowcat! Then stay to watch the Crested Butte Ski and Ride School perform their famous torchlight parade down the front side of the mountain at 5:30 pm. Photos with Santa and his helper will be available immediately following the torchlight parade inside Spellbound Pizza.
