Big Air On Elk 2013

This weekend in Crested Butte there is a ton of fun stuff going on.

One of the coolest and most unique events of the winter is happening on Elk Avenue in down town Crested Butte on Saturday night. The event is Big Air on Elk. Saturday night from 6 to 9 pm there will be skiers and snowboarders being towed by snowmobile into a huge 40 foot jump built in the middle of down town Crested Butte. Skiers and riders will be showing off their best tricks for the crowds.

Also worth checking out is the Banff Mountain Film Festival which will take place at the Crested Butte Center for the Arts on Friday and Saturday nights with different films showing each night. Show starts at 7, tickets are $20 and are available at the Alpineer or at the door (if they don’t sell out). Proceeds go to the Crested Butte Search and Rescue team, so go have fun and support a good cause too!
