What a Season it Has Been!

About this time a year ago, things were totally different here in Park City.  We were busy wiping all of the mud of our ski equipment due to the wet spring weather and the lack of any significant snowfall.  This year it’s been a complete 180 degree turn around.  The mud has been replaced with fresh powder!  One to three inches of new snow is currently falling as I write this post.  What a difference this year has been.

It’s always bittersweet for us here at Black Tie Skis about this time of year.  The fresh snow is great for our last runs of the year but knowing that the season is ending is kind of a bummer at the same time.  The shop talk is mostly centered around where everyone is headed to after our last day on Sunday April 10th.  The destinations are as varied as our ski technicians.  A few of them are trading in their skis for surfboards and heading to Hawaii for the summer.  A couple of them are heading back to the youth camps back east where they teach water sports like canoeing, kayaking and rafting.  Some are headed overseas not knowing what road lies ahead of them.  Just following what feels right on any given day.  Those of us that live here in Utah will return to our spring and summer careers.  It will be sad not to be working with such a great group of people but there will always be next year when we all gather again for another ski season here in Park City.

We also want to give a big shout out to all of the staff at the local resorts that we work so closely with every year.  We sincerely appreciate the referrals you send our way and more importantly, the superior customer service given to your guests.  Park City has prided itself on the highest levels of customer service and this year has met and exceeded our guests expectations.  Our success here is a direct result of the team effort throughout the town when it comes to delivering what our visitors expect from the reputation we have all built.

Special thanks to Park City TV and the Mountain Morning Show.  Thanks for having us on to showcase our services.  We a really appreciate all of your support in “Our Town”.

Last but not least…Our Awesome Guests!  We thank you for your continued business.  We look forward to seeing all of you again next season.
