Want an easy resort to access by air? Come by and see Sun Valley

Some people think of Sun Valley as an out of the way, hard to get to resort. The upside to this thinking is the fact that we rarely see a lift line all winter, even during holiday weekends. Although we love to be able to ski right up to a lift and board a chair without slowing down, we thought it was time to let the secret out of the bag.

Sun valley’s Friedman Memorial airport is a hidden gem located just a few miles south of Sun Valley’s amazing and endless runs. Just a quick 15 minute ride is all you need to get out on some of the best groomers, bowls and backcountry runs in the country.

Alaska, Delta and United airlines offer direct service into Sun Valley’s Friedman Memorial Airport, putting skiers and riders within miles of the slopes from a variety of major markets. Nonstop flights from Chicago, Denver, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle are available.
