This Weekend: Full Moon Party and Big Air on Elk

This weekend, Crested Butte has two fun and unique events going on. Thursday evening, March 5th, Crested Butte Mountain Resort will be hosting one of their full moon parties. You can skin or snowshoe up to the Ice Bar at Uley’s Cabin to join in on the fun. A $20 ticket, which is donated to CB Snowsports Foundation, gets you an uphill ticket, beer or drink, chili, and s’mores, all of which can be enjoyed around the fire! If you do not get a ticket in time, you can still skin up to relax and warm up around the fire before skiing down! The party will last from 5-8PM. The fun will continue on Saturday March 7th with the annual event Big Air on Elk. This event, which will be hosted by Two Plank Productions, consists of a huge kicker built on Elk Avenue, where skiers and riders are pulled to speed by the snowmobile and compete to impress with big air, tricks, and of course wipe-outs. There will be a beer garden, plenty of viewing options, and live music from Bass Physics! This event starts at 7 PM and is free!! So come on down to Elk Avenue and be a part of a one of a kind event.
