The “Other Things” in and around Park City

We are often asked about other winter activities in and around Park City.  Lets face it, five days of skiing can be a little too much for the average vacationer.  It’s always nice to take a break in between ski days to go explore other events and activities in and around Park City, Utah.  Here are our top three activities for that break in between ski days:

Lofty Peak Adventures

While there are several snowmobile tour operations here this one is the best in our humble opinion.  It may just be an opinion but it is based on the experiences we have had with all of the snowmobile tour available here in Park City.

Just outside of the Park City area there are literally several thousand acres of snowmobile trails and terrain for beginners and advanced riders.  Many of those trail heads are here in Park City as well as neighboring cities like Heber City and Coalville.  Lofty Peaks offers Snowmobile Rentals as well as Guided Snowmobile Tours within Park City and throughout the surrounding area.  If you are looking for a great family outing than Lofty Peaks can provide you with 1/2 day and full day tours and even provide you with lunch.  Their guides are great and the whole experience is nothing short of awesome.  If you are a die hard skier that just can’t go one day without skiing then we recommend the Guided Snowmobile Tour at Snow Bird.

Gorgoza Park

No matter how old you get, tubing in the snow always brings a smile to your face.  Gorgoza Park is one of the finest snow parks in the Western United States.  They have lift served tubing that eliminates the hassle of walking back up the hill which equates to more runs and fun.  In addition to tubing they also offer Mini Snowmobiles for the little ones to experience some fuel powered fun and adrenaline in the snow.  For the littlest ones in your group, we highly recommend their Fort Frosty Snow Park adventure area where they can man their own fort from snowball attacks and ride on the tubing carousel.

Eccles Center for the Performing Arts

World Class Performing Arts makes for a great break from the World Class Skiing here in Park City.  From popular plays and musicals to modern music there is always something going on at the Rice Eccles Performing Arts Center.

There you have it folks…Three “Other Things” besides world class skiing here in Park City.  Take some time out on your next ski vacation to see all of the many wonderful things Park City has to offer.
