The Last Great Western Ski Town

Crested Butte is Colorado’s last great ski town, but its also a real western town. One way you can tell is the occasional cattle drive that you might run into while you are in between Crested Butte and Gunnison. We’re blessed to live in such a cool area, with great snow, great mountains, wonderful restaurants, entertainment options, and real life cowboys.

This morning I had to make the trip down valley to Gunnison, and on the way I ran into a real life cattle drive headed down the valley, along with cowboys and cow girls tending the herd along the way.

You don’t see this sort of thing in Vail or Aspen.
