Take a Day to Explore our Neighbor Resorts

Getting to Park City from Salt Lake International Airport is fairly easy since there are several transport companies that service the Park City area.  Once you are here, the local transportation system is varied and convenient.  It’s safe to say that renting a car for your ski vacation is not necessary here in Park City.

While not necessary there are some benefits to having a rental car during your next trip.  The biggest benefit being the ability and opportunity to visit the other ski resorts nearby.  We would like to share with you the three resorts we believe are worth the drive and time to visit.

Snowbird Resort

If you were to ask any of our technicians where they like to ski, the number one response is Snowbird.  Most of them say that Double Black Diamonds here in Park City are Blues and Greens at “The Bird”.  If your ability level is Advanced to Expert then we strongly suggest a day trip to Snowbird.  For an even more memorable experience, we recommend Lofty Peaks Sled and Ski Tour at Snowbird.

Sundance Resort

Sundance is probably better known for the film festival held every year in Park City but lets not forget that it’s always been a world class ski resort long before the film festival began.  We consider it one of Utah’s hidden gems.  The spectacular backdrop of Mt. Timpanogos gives Sundance the true feeling of an alpine adventure.  The sheer granite face is a sight to behold.  The Western Frontier Motif combined with Robert Redford’s Native American Art Collection gives the resort it’s unique style and atmosphere.  We really dig the Ski and Zipline Tour Package which makes for a great time at a lower price than a lift ticket in Park City…More adventure at a lower price.

Snowbasin Resort

Snowbasin is the sister resort to Sun Valley in Idaho.  Like Sun Valley, it’s one of the most family friendly resorts in the west.  From the terrain park to the tubing hill, Snowbasin has a lot to offer the youngest members of the family while providing world class alpine skiing for the more advanced family members.  In addition to alpine skiing Snowbasin also has world class Nordic Skiing with 26 km of trails.  One of the coolest things is the seclusion of the resort and the opportunity to see more wildlife including deer, moose and the occasional mountain goat.  Although the drive is about an hour and fifteen minutes, it’s well worth the trip.

Any one of these day trips will enhance your next ski vacation here in Park City.  Once you are here in Park City you can find a rental car for a day at Enterprise Car Rental.
