New equipment at Black Tie

It’s that time of year again. We are getting our equipment delivered to us every day. We wanted to share a couple of the new skis we are getting this year.

From Volkl we are getting the Yumi and the Kendo. Two great all mountain skis for men and women.

SKI Magazine‘s Ski of the Year, the Yumi is an all mountain freeride ski with a shape of 125-83-103. For female skiers who want to tackle the front and back side of the mountain on a light weight, yet stable ski that can handle anything – from bumps, to trees, to hard pack – the Yumi is an impressive new ride.

A brand new Kendo debuts for 15/16, with a wider waist, early taper in the tip, and the addition of tip and tail rocker. These new design elements allow the Kendo to be more playful in soft snow, while maintaining the edge grip, stability, and frontside performance that have made it so popular.
