Keep Your Tips Up

The women of Black Tie are excited for some upcoming events in Crested Butte geared towards lady shredders as well as other events involving music, outdoor races, and tips for winter outdoor enthusiasts.

Hosted at the umbrella bar off the Painter Boy Lift at Crested Butte Mountain resort, pro women will be sharing skiing tips while taking sips from 1:30 to 3:30 on January 16. Visit www.skicb.com for pricing and details about this event.

January 19th to the 21st The Elan Big Mountain Women’s weekend will be held at Crested Butte Mountain Resort, a weekend skiing event specifically for female skiers. A welcome party will be held Friday night commencing a weekend of demos, guided instruction, lunch, raffle tickets, gift bags, and après events. Visit www.skicb.com for more information.

Friday January 20th, Crested Butte Mountain resort will be hosting a banked slalom event in honor of World Snowboard Day. It is $10 to enter and prizes from Burton Snowboards will be awarded after the event at Butte 66. Butte 66 also regularly hosts après music events.

The Crested Butte Center for the Arts presents the Victor Wooten Trio on January 20th. The Victor Wooten Trio offers up a mix of jazz, R&B, and funk. Please visit www.crestedbuttearts.org for details and ticket information. You’ll be sure to see some Black Tie staff there.

gO SkiMo, presented by Griggs Orthopedics, will be hosting a SkiMo race January 17th at 5 pm. The race features new courses each week, raffle prizes, free food, and beverages. Registration is in the Treasury Building at the base of Crested Butte Mountain Resort and don’t forget a headlamp! gO SkiMo is also hosting a SkiMo Academy on January 19th.
