Getting in shape to hit the slopes

As many of you already know, skiing can be hard work. Although we think of it as a fun easy day on the slopes, maybe with a drink Apres ski, its actually quite the workout. Those of us who are lucky enough to live in a ski town know the pain of the first week of skiing, sore legs, tired arms and the urge to just sleep in instead of getting back out there the next day. When you come out for a ski vacation you don’t always have the luxury of taking a couple of rest days. You want and need to get in as much skiing as you can while you are here.

Well, not to worry. There are many interesting sites to visit and workouts to do to prepare you for your ski vacation. While hitting the gym and working out hard for months before your vacation isn’t always a possibility, there are many things you can do at home to get yourself prepared.
