This week’s shop pick for the gear review: The Nordica Enforcer 88 and 104 Free! The Enforcer collection is known for being stable, great carvers, and playful sporting accolades such as “Gear of the Year” and “Best in Test.”
The Enforcer 88 ski is the most versatile all-mountain 88mm ski on the market. With its early rise tip and slight tail, this ski is very responsive and nimble. It is stiffer than your average ski providing incredible stability at speed. With that, it is also on the heavier side, making for a smoother ride in variable snow conditions, and lays down an edge with ease. Any intermediate-advanced skier will love ripping these down the mountain.
The Enforcer 104 Free is the mid-width ski in this collection. It is also very versatile being able to lay down an edge yet also float in powder and smash through any variable conditions that come your way. This ski has a balsa wood core sandwiched between two sheets of metal making it very powerful and stable at speed… and it skis fast! It is not as nimble as the 88mm due to it’s heavier weight and enhanced stiffness but any advanced intermediate-advanced skier won’t have a problem whipping them around in the trees and bumps.
