Djangos Restaurant

As we do each Wednesday, we’re sharing some local knowledge, this week its a review of Djangos Restaurant in Mount Crested Butte. Djangos is a small plate restaurant and wine bar located right in the base area at Mountaineer Square. Its a great place for a romantic dinner or to celebrate a special occasion.

Djangos offers a wide variety of dishes, from beef and pork, to rabbit and duck. One of their most popular appetizers is the crispy brussell sprouts. Some of our favorite plates were:

The Rabbit Confit Cannelloni with baby peas, morel mushrooms and truffelled cream sauce.
The slow roasted Duck Leg, cured with herbs de provence, roasted beets, cerignola olive, lemon, and carrots.
The Steak Frites beef hanger steak with shallot glaze and shoestring potatoes.
The flourless chocolate cake.

Djangos serves Old World wines exclusively. One cool thing about Djangos is that if you wish to have more than a glass of wine, but less than a bottle, you can order a Quartino, which is 1/3 of a bottle of wine. This is a great way to try something new, or perhaps start with a heavier wine and move to a lighter wine as you progress through your evening.

Djangos offers amazing food and great service, and is conveniently located for those of you who are looking for a romantic dinner in Mt. Crested Butte. Check out their web page at Djangos Restaurant. or call them and make a reservation at 970-349-7574.

Make sure to let them know that the Black Tie Ski rental guys sent you!
