December Upcoming Events, Park City

As we welcome in a new winter season, it’s always great to see the events hosted here in Park City. Whether it’s a local get together, international competition, or seeing Santa come down Town Lift, there’s no shortage of fun to be had. This week we highlight some of those amazing events that take place during December.

Park Silly Holiday Bazaar: Most people that live in Park City or have visited during the summer, know that on Sundays the Park Silly Market is the place to be. While Park Silly is typically hosted on Main Street, the 10th annual Holiday Bazaar will once again be held inside The Sheraton (formerly the Marriott) in Prospector Square. The event will be December 6th from 5pm-9pm and December 7th and 8th from 10am-5pm. This is a free festival filled with local vendors, similar to its summer counterpart. So bring the family, enjoy some food, do some holiday shopping, and maybe even get a picture with Santa

International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation Competition: Once again the Utah Olympic Park will be hosting a major event right here in Park City. It will be held December 7-11 with two competitions each day. The featured competitions are the IBSF Youth Olympic Qualifier and the North America Cup. This is a free event that is definitely worth checking out.

Deer Valley Opening Day: Deer Valley Resort will begin spinning its lifts on December 7th. With the snow we have already received, there will be terrain open for those interested in taking some early season laps. Best part of all, there is snow in the forecast. We hope to see you on the mountain!

Santa Comes Down Town Lift: On December 21st at 5:30pm, Santa will once again be descending down Town Lift. Come out to Main Street and help us celebrate another wonderful white Christmas in Park City.

2019 Torchlight Parade, PCMR: One of the most popular events in Park City will be returning to PCMR. This is a great spectacle for all ages, which will begin on December 24th right before dusk. Watch as the ski and snowboard instructors of Park City ride down Homerun to the base of Payday lift as the their torches illuminate the sky. Come grab some cookies and hot chocolate after a long day of skiing and enjoy the show. Deer Valley: A similar event will be held December 30th at Deer Valley Resort. This will take place near Snow Park Lodge at the base of the mountain.

New Year’s Eve Fireworks: Canyons Village will be shooting off fireworks in the plaza on New Year’s Eve around dusk. Come check out the festivities as we welcome in the new year.
