Featured Gear Thursdays – Atomic Punx and Punx Jr.

Black Tie of Crested Butte is happy to announce our new and improved adult premium ski, the Atomic Punx!

The Atomic Punx is an awesome twin tip ski that is used in events from the X-games to the Olympics. The Punx is traditionally a park ski, but never limited to what terrain is ahead of you.  With a hybrid sidewall, the Punx has a tighter turn radius and makes the ski more forgiving. Combined with camber and rocker, it will initiate turns easily, but due to the camber, the ski will be able to hold energy to pop into your next turn while not compromising edge control.  

Overall this is an excellent beginner to expert ski who is looking to either improve your skills or hone in on new ones.   

Black Tie Crested Butte is also excited to announce the addition of our updated Atomic Punx Jr to our Jr. premium line! The Punx Jr. is the exact ski that is used by Atomic Athletes in events like the X-games and Olympics. The Punk Jr. is known for progression and helping skiers hone in on theirs skills all over the mountain. This ski is soft and forgiving but due to the camber/rocker profile still can outperform in any condition for all level skiers.  Overall this ski has been in the industry for years and used by Atomic’s best athletes but is still an awesome ski to help progression at any age.
