Basecamp Hotel Expansion
One of our partner hotels in South Lake Tahoe, The Basecamp Hotel, has recently grown from 50 rooms to 77. Last year the hotel acquired an adjoining motel with plans to nearly double the size of the property. They recently finished the complete renovation of that property and opened the new rooms in December 2014. In addition, there is now a meeting room and an outdoor beer garden that will surely draw visitors and locals alike. The outdoor hot tubs and fire pits have awesome views of Heavenly and the surrounding mountains and in the summer their location directly next door to the Harvey’s Outdoor Amphitheater is going to be awesome for listening to the live acts over there. During the winter, this hotel is a great option for skiers as it’s only about a block from the Heavenly Ski Resort gondola. Guests needing ski and snowboard equipment rentals can simply phone Black Tie, have their equipment fitting in the comfort of their room (or the lobby) and then stroll over to Heavenly for a great day on the slopes.
