“Like many other East Coast skiers, we both ended up out West in the beautiful mountain town of Whitefish MT after graduating from college”
We met during our first ski season back in 2012 while working as ski and snowboard instructors. We both had similar plans to move every other winter and check out different ski towns in the west. However, after our first year in Montana, it became very clear that Whitefish was a uniquely special place and we decided to make it our permanent home. The northwest corner of Montana is truly spectacular with numerous lakes, rivers, mountains, millions of acres of public land, and some of the best skiing in the country.
After our first year in Whitefish, we started a successful irrigation business that kept us busy over the summer months and spent our winters coaching athletes on the Whitefish Mountain Resort’s Freestyle Team. We were still searching for the perfect winter business that could complement our passion for skiing, community, and our entrepreneurial sprit. We learned about Black Tie Ski Rentals from a family friend and it quickly became clear that opening up our own location in the growing town of Whitefish was the perfect match.
We are beyond excited to bring Black Tie’s incredible concierge service to skier’s and snowboarders visiting the Flathead Valley and Whitefish Mountain Resort during the winter months. We look forward to seeing you over the winter.
