Atomic Team Dominates Dew Tour 2018

Breckenridge, Colorado has been home to the Dew Tour for the past ten years, and it has always done a good job of kicking off the winter’s freestyle contest circuit. I love Dew Tour, it’s one of my favorite times of the year! Not only are world’s best riders stacked against each other for the first big freestyle contest of the year, they set the level of skiing/riding for the new year and can showcase what to be looking out for style and trick wise. New to the Dew Tour is the Team Challenge. Each company picks a team captain, a modified-superpipe rider, jib rider, and jump rider for an overall team score. Atomic stacked their team deep with 2018 Olympic athletes. The Atomic athletes all dropped into Dew tour rocking the Atomic Punx twin tip ski, which is one of our favorite skis we carry! Jossi Wells headed team Atomic as captain. Beau-James Wells dropped into the creative modified-superpipe. Fabian Bosch slayed the jump line, and our hometown hero Gus Kenworthy laid down some insane tricks on the jib section landing Team Atomic a score of 260.34 which brought them home the gold! Overall it was a good weekend for the Atomic Athletes as Jossi Wells placed 4th, Fabian Bosch 6th and Gus Kenworthy 15th in their individual contests. On the Atomic lady’s side, Tess Ledeux placed 2nd in Women’s Slopestyle. We at Black Tie, want to congratulate all the Atomic Athletes who competed this weekend, and we are looking forward to seeing what they have in store for this winter!
