Black Tie Ski Rentals Rental Policy
To qualify for our lowest rates your reservation must be booked a full day (24 hours) prior to arrival on-line at www.blacktieskis.com. A minimum 2 day rental is required. You cannot make a reservation online within 24 hours, to make a reservation within 24 hours of your arrival please call our Reservations Department at 1-866-838-3754. Black Tie Ski Rentals reserves the right to substitute equipment of equal or greater value in order to accommodate all advance reservations.
If your reservation is made within the ski booking season your credit card will be charged in full within 24 hours. The ski booking season is considered Labor Day through to the resort locations closing day. If your reservation is made outside the ski booking season a credit card is required to hold your reservation, which will be charged in full after Labor Day.
Reservations cancelled 48 hours prior to arrival will receive a full refund. If cancelled within 48 hours, no refund is due. Cancellation or delays due to weather or other reasons outside the guest control such as airline delays or cancellations will also be refunded in full or rescheduled without charge.
Pick-Up and Return Policy
Rental period will begin on the delivery date when the equipment is delivered before 2pm. Equipment delivered after 2pm will have a rental period beginning the following day. Equipment not returned by 9am the morning after the due date will result in an extra late charge per day.
An optional damage waiver is available and covers damage to equipment caused by normal wear and tear incurred while skiing. It does NOT cover damage due to NEGLIGENCE, THEFT, OR LOSS.
Kids Rent (Ski) Free Program
One child 12 or under rents free with each paid five day adult rental. This option is not available at all locations.
Privacy & Security
We have agreed to (1) provide customers with notice of their ability to opt out of information regarding rental, sale or exchange with other marketers; (2) honor customers' requests not to share their information with other marketers; and (3) honor customers' requests not to receive mail, telephone or other solicitations from Black Tie.
2. Information Collection
Our online guests can visit many of our web pages without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself. We may track the Internet domain address from which people visit us and analyze this data for trends and statistics, but individual users will remain anonymous, unless you voluntarily tell us who you are.
There may be times (such as when you make a reservation, log in, sign up for a newsletter, etc.) at which we ask you to provide certain information about yourself, such as your name, shipping/billing address, telephone number, email address, credit card information, birth date, etc. Whether or not to provide such information is completely your own choice. If you choose not to provide the information we request you may be unable to make a reservation or access certain services, offers and content on our web site.
3. Using Your Information
We use the personally identifiable information you provide for internal purposes such as confirming and tracking your reservation, analyzing trends and statistics, informing you of our new services and offers, etc. From time to time we might establish a business relationship with other persons or entities who we deem trustworthy and whose privacy policies are consistent with ours. These are known as our Preferred Partners. In such cases we might share information, including personally identifiable information about you, that will enable such persons or entities to contact you regarding products and services that may be of interest to you.
Although unlikely, in certain instances we may disclose your personally identifiable information when we have reason to believe that it is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against persons or entities who may be causing injury to you, to Black Tie or to others. Black Tie also may disclose your personally identifiable information when we believe the law requires it.
4. Updating Your Information
We want to communicate with you only if you want to hear from us. If you prefer not to receive information from us or from our Preferred Partners, please let us know by calling us at 1.800.821.4754 or by sending us an email, at info@BlackTieSkis.com. Please be sure to include your email address, full name, and specifically what information you do not want to receive. If you would like to update or correct your email address, street address or other personal information with us, please contact us the same way.
Please note that sometimes these requests may take up to 6-8 weeks to take effect, particularly if we are removing your name from postal mailings. In addition, when you make a reservation from us online or by phone, we may need to contact you via phone, email or mail to address questions specific to your reservation, even if you have opted to not receive communications.
Please remember, if you delete certain information, you may not be able to continue to make a reservation or access other portions of our web site without entering additional information.
5. Protecting Children
We at Black Tie take special care to protect the safety and privacy of children. Our web site is a general audience site. We do not permit children under the age of 13 to register with us or make any online reservations. We also do not send email correspondence to anyone who tells us that they are under the age of 13.
If you do not wish to have a cookie on your system, you can set your browser preferences to refuse them. In order to disable cookies, please consult your browser's help section for instructions.
We use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to protect the security of your online order information. SSL technology encrypts your reservation information to protect it from being decoded by anyone other than Black Tie. Once you enter the reservation process, your computer will begin communicating with our server in secure mode.
Black Tie will always use sophisticated encryption and authentication tools like SSL to protect the security of your personal information that you share with us. Unfortunately, however, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee or warrant the security of any information you transmit to or from our web site; and you do so at your own risk.
We urge you to keep your password in a safe place and not to divulge it to anyone. Also remember to sign off your account and close your browser window when you have finished your visit. This is to ensure that others cannot access your account.
