I still remember the outdoor ice rink in Vail
Village back in 1973 and the Bubble at
the base of Beaver Creek. Boy, times sure have
changed in the Vail Valley! My ski experiences
growing up are what brought me to Colorado for college and
kept me here after graduation. Now, 34 years after my first visit, I am
entering my second year of the Black Tie Family with a family of my own;
my wife, Christy, has lived here since the early 80’s and both my daughter,
Erin (3) and son, Eoin (2) were born right in the heart of Vail.
Vail and Beaver Creek represent some of the best skiing the world has to offer- with an average of 350" of snowfall and over 7,000 acres upon which to play, there is something for everyone. After a day on the slopes, reenergize the body with incredible dining options, elevate the mind by catching a performance at the Vilar Center, or simply unwind in the hot tub under our glorious night sky.
